You tell us when and where, we bring all necessary equipment and make it happen. We will come to you at home, at work, your own gym, etc. We offer individual and group sessions, customized to fit your needs. Our attention to posture, alignment, balance and breathing ensure your workout is safe and most beneficial.
We offer a private studio and outdoor sessions if you prefer to come to us. Studio sessions are also offered as both individual and groups, if you prefer to work out with a friend!
Virtual sessions are ideal for those who are unable to meet in person regularly. We offer custom work outs utilizing what you have on hand. Not much equipment? No problem, we can be very innovative!
Here at PAPS Fitness we are not registered dietitians (R.D.) , but we do provide nutrition guidance and recommendations to our clients who are eager to begin or continue a fitness program to improve fitness/health and/or body composition. Depending on client's goals, nutrition needs may vary extensively.

At least you have a pretty face is what family and friends would say to me when the topic of weight was discussed. Two and a half years after having my last of three children, I decided to get out of my own way. (Finally!) I made the decision to do something for myself, which was quite a foreign idea at the time. I am not going to pull the I want to be the best mother I can be and make my kids proud of me card. The truth is, my kids already loved me and thought the world of me, regardless of the weight. The reality is, that I did not feel the same way about myself, for way too long. I wanted to prove to myself that I could take control of my health and happiness. When 196.4 happened, had a looong conversation with myself. I began eating right and running; started losing some pounds and inches slowly... About 3.5 months ago, I joined a local gym -- and I am NOT a "gym girl", by any stretch of the imagination. Then it happened, boom! -- Paul Anthony came into my life, completely by chance. I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and genuine spirit. I started sessions with him 2x per week for the first few weeks, then bumped it up to 3x per week. I haven't looked back since. All in all over the past five or so months, I have lost roughly 60 pounds, and have gone from a "tight" size 16 to a legit size 6. I no longer look at the scale, because that number does not matter to me. What matters is that I finally feel like myself again. I went from what I consider negative muscle tone, to actually being pretty darn strong! All 1,000,000% because of Paul's never ending motivation and confidence in me. While it is hard to work a pretty stressful full-time job, take part in daily bedtime routines for three young kids, and THEN go to the gym- it is not impossible! Yes, I am tired most days, but at the same time, I feel more fulfilled than ever. I have learned a lot about myself during this journey, if you will, including the fact that while I may be really good at complaining, I am not a quitter. When it gets too hard, I remember where I started and continue until the end, and for that, I am proud.
The wish for a healthy tomorrow can be the most important thing in life. Meeting and working with PAPS Fitness, Paul Anthony, his level of education, his intelligent approach to physical and emotional development has given me the option to fulfill that wish- he has been a gift for the future.
I can't believe how much I've progressed working with Paul at PAPS Fitness. I am pushing 50 and feeling every bit of it! But in the 2 years since I've been working out with Paul, my joints no longer ache and I have gained strength I never knew I had. He put me on a workout regimen which includes a diet and supplement plan and it has worked!
He constantly seeks information to stay current on how to train his clients. He listens to me to understand what I seek in training and adjusts his style to help me progress. He absorbs knowledge from all sources and tests it before sharing it with his clients. He's careful, observant and MOTIVATING. Paul pushes me to achieve my fitness goals beyond what I would do on my own.
With patience, he listens to me complaining and then we carry on! We've learned a lot about each other within the past 2 years and as his friend, I can say he is a man of morals, character, and integrity. He is honest, dedicated and values lessons learned. Further, Paul focuses on the future and growth. He is supportive, encouraging and sometimes even funny!
I believe that personal training is a physical and mental outlet that leads to positive changes and Paul makes the hour-long sessions fun and keeps it interesting.
Working with Paul Anthony, PAPS Fitness has changed the way I walk in life, literally, without pain in my knees, weakness in my back and I am able to get off the floor without major assistance. I began to work with Paul in October 2014 because I needed functional strength, being a property manager of a vast property and doing most of the hard labor, planting, trees, cutting grass, pulling weeds, shoveling etc. I was feeling the pain in my back and in my knees. On my vacations I do hiking and I am always the last person up the trail sucking wind and ready to collapse at the end of the trail, plus a Baker's cyst forming on the back of my right knee. I am only 50 years old and this is not the way I am going out! I knew I needed to do something and quickly, I told Paul of my concerns and I told him I really wasn't too worried about the belly I had ( which was huge), but he said he was and that belly was going to be targeted without me even knowing it, and it has been. I could never hold my belly in and now I do not even think about it, for one it has shrunk and two the core work is done and you don't even realize. Within 6 sessions I was beginning to see my bicep, when I was brushing my teeth, I was getting off the floor with a lot of ease, the pain in my knees were less. The weakness in my back was gone and I was standing straighter and stronger. Now 3 months later January 2015, I am climbing the stair master for 20 minutes pain free in my knees, no more Bakers cyst on the back of my right knee, I am doing the treadmill for 1 hour, the elliptical for 1 hour, heart rate up to 140 and not even out of breath, this is the conditioning I was looking for. All of this is because of the conditioning training that Paul puts together specifically for your needs and your goals. Paul was putting together training sessions that pertained to what I was doing at the time, planting trees, shoveling, reaching for things that are high up on the shelf, which are heavy, I do all of this with confidence and ease and I have no pain and I have a lot of confidence walking down stairs without the fear of the right knew collapsing on me and failing on my face in embarrassment. I walk up the stairs with ease and not pain and weakness in the right leg and this is all because he began with the tiny inner workings to strengthen and lubricate the joint to the mighty outside larger muscles that strengthen and sculpt the shape and function of the body mechanics.
Paul Anthony, PAPS Fitness has great knowledge of training the entire body while determining the individual abilities of his clients. His pleasant and positive attitude is a great addition to his willingness to work with his clients at their own levels. He instills confidence and encouragement to make you want to work harder and apply yourself more!
I no longer live by the saying fat people are happy people. I realize now I was just telling myself that to justify my weight and to make myself feel good. My new motto is (healthy body, healthy mind) and in which I have found that to be true source of my happiness.
In finishing I would like to thank Paul Anthony of PAPS Fitness for his approach and guidance to a happier me. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
My experience with PAPS has been excellent! Since I met Paul he has been a great trainer. He has helped me a lot through fitness with good exercises, also with nutrition and other health issues. I have diabetes and Paul is helping me maintain my sugar levels with nutrition plans and amazing workouts. My body is improving, my health, my resistance, and strength. I have never met any other trainer so dedicated to help others achieve their fitness goals. I'm very happy to be part of PAPS and to have Paul as my personal trainer. I have been working with PAPS Fitness trainer, Paul Anthony, for a month or so now. Today, at age 70, I was able to beat my nemesis the (Bosu Ball) by accomplishing single leg lifts. Paul is an exceptional trainer who has, in such a short time, worked wonders with my balance, strength and energy. PAPS fitness is a blessing in my life, as a person who has always tried to remain active, and work out I found I was stuck. I was doing the same old thing and really not defining my body. Working out with Paul Anthony has been such a wonderful investment in my health, my well being, and my future. I knew that I would get stronger and leaner with our workouts, but I've been amazed that he's totally increased my flexibility, improved my posture, and consistently worked all of my muscles so that I have been injury free since we started; as a reasonably athletic and active person, I've constantly struggled with being injury prone my entire life - Paul Anthony's methods have helped my body prevent injury, something I never thought was possible. As well, he truly knows how to train women- I've toned up without bulking. Throughout my life I've worked with dozens of personal trainers, but not one has had the level of expertise and experience that Paul Anthony brings to training. He is an incredibly intelligent man who has studied many different disciplines, and each training session is interesting, fun, and effective. Oh, and he's a great guy - very professional but with such a positive and joyful attitude! I hope to work out with Paul Anthony forever - I feel as though I've discovered the fountain of youth!
I've been training with Paul Anthony, PAPS Fitness for close to two years now. As a aging former college athlete now in my late 40s my entire goal and approach to fitness is to be able to stay fluid and in motion so I can be an active dad with my daughter. Paul Anthony has certainly been able to help me achieve that while allowing me to become stronger and more flexible. Paul's unique approach is unlike anyone I've ever seen before. He has spent decades researching and self educating himself on techniques that you will not fine with your average trainer.
Paul cares about his clients. He listens for their feedback. And adjust accordingly so that he can serve you in his best way possible. The two Functional Lines join the contralateral girdles across the front and back of the body, running from one humerus to the opposite femur and vice versa.
The Functional Lines are used in innumerable movements, from walking to the most extreme sports. They act to extend the levers of the arms to the opposite leg as in a kayak paddle, a base throw or a cricket pitch (vice versa in the vase of a football kick). Like the Spiral Line, the Functional Lines are helical, and thus help create strong rotational movement. Their postural function is minimal.
The Front Functional Line Fig (4.2) begins with the Pectoralis Major and its connection to the lower ribs, where it has myofascial continuity with the Rectus Abdominis to the pubic bone and down via the contralateral Adductor Longus. This forms a functional line of mechanical connection during movement activities.
The Back Functional Line (Fig 4.1) begins with the Latissimus Dorsi muscle and connects into the lumbosacral Fascia and crosses over to the Gluteus Maximus on the contralateral side. The line continues into the iliotibial band and Vastus Lateralis muscle on the lateral thigh.
